A charming board game young for children.  Help the forest friends find their way to each other through the moving forest paths.  The game includes a set of instructions but you can vary the rules of play to suit the ages of the children playing.  We use the following variation.

Play starts with all the maze pieces off the board. Each player takes a card which will show to two sets of friends.  Players then take it in turns to place a maze piece on the board in a position that will help their friends reach each other.  Once all the playing pieces are on the board, players take it in turns to rotate a maze piece to suit them or obstruct their opponents.  The game finishes one one player is successful in helping both their pairs of forest friends to find each other.

A simpler version that is suited to younger children is to have two players (or teams), select one card from the pack to work from.  Player A. helps the top pair of friends create a path, and player B. helps the bottom pair.  Use the playing sequence as above for placing the maze pieces on the board.

Alternatively you can play none competitively and together create as many paths as you can to help all the friends find at least one other forest pal.  The game also lends itself well to playing solo.
