There is a unique tactile quality to playing Chess and Backgammon with wooden pieces and this all time classic version would make a beautiful gift for almost anyone - young and old. It is a set that can be enjoyed over and over again and can then be handed down the family to be treasured by future generations.  The outer chess board side is finely inlayed and has hinges and securing catches to the side that enable it be folded into a smart suitcase for storing the playing pieces.  The internal side is marked out for Backgammon.  The set includes wooden chess and drafts/backgammon pieces, 4 standard dice and one numbered dice for backgammon and two sturdy dice shakers.  Once folded the sturdy wooden carrying handle adds an additional practical feature. 

The wooden drafts are approximately 3.8 x 0.7cm and the chess figures are approximately 3.5 to 7.5cm

When opened the board size is approximately 52 x 45 cm
