This was a personal favourite of mine as a child.  A well loved playground game particularly popular in Germany.  Also known as ‘Gummitwist or Chinese Skipping (or simply as ‘Elastics’ in my English playground!).  A fun game for children, teenagers and adults creating footwork patterns on elastic ropes that become increasingly more difficult as the game progresses.  The ropes are making a return to some schools in PE classes, but I think they are much more alive as a playground game where the children can make up their own jump patterns and try out some tricky moves.
